Over the years, we have seen a move away from color photography and a return to the classic look and feel of black and white images. Our studio has always had the reputation for black and white photography. Our change to digital photography has allowed us to offer our clients the choice of black and white or color, from within the same photography session. We create your images on the finest Kodak and Fuji papers. Our giclee images are reminiscent of the classic black and white fiber photographs. We are comfortable creating either black and white or color photographs. However, we love to work in black and white. We encourage our clients to explore this medium.
Contemporary black and white portraiture uses the finest digital printing technologies. We offer three different presentations -- Giclee, Pearle and Gallery Giclee images are "fine art prints" produced using a high quality digital printer. The printer is designed for the precise criteria of fine art collectors. We use an acid-free watercolor paper to provide a heavy texture for the image. Independent testing by Wilhelm Imaging Research, Inc has established that Giclee prints will last as long as 200 years before any noticeable shift in color integrity. These images present a similar look to the Classic black and white. These Giclee prints are designed to be viewed under neutral-colored light. Very warm incandescent light and very cool fluorescent light may affect the image's apparent color balance. Giclee images are meant to framed under glass with acid free matt boards. Pearle images are custom printed on traditional photographic paper. We will "tweek" these images as necessary for maximum impact. Artwork enhances all areas of the image. The lacquer protection seals the image. All Imperial images are mounted and ready for framing. Gallery portraits bring you quality gift portraits at the lowest possible price. These portraits are not "fine tuned". Artwork is not available with this presentation.
